At the start of October Canadian psych-imbued ambient/world music artist and producer Marc-E released his engaging and exploratory new album Catharsis.
The musician from Vancouver uses experimental instruments and techniques to create his vivid to reflective soundscapes that take the listener away to unknown worlds filled with strong rhythms, trance-inducing sonics, and uplifting vibes.
Marc-E is a multi-instrumentalist who builds up layers of mesmerizing sound with live instrumentation, unusual effects and recording processes, and samples taken from nature. Marc-E has been working in the music field for a while, contributing to numerous projects for their albums and tours.
With Catharsis though, he breaks free from the past and embraces his future as a solo artist.
“Catharsis is very experimental… The vibe and feel of Catharsis is to release past traumas and find comfort in the moment, and move on with full confidence in life,” Marc-E reveals.
