NYC-based alt-pop/post-punk/electronic musician Les Techno has returned with his latest single that speaks to our uncertain future and offers a viewpoint of hope amid the chaos.
Aptly titled Flowers For Dystopia, Les Techno has also shared a lyrics video for the track. He recorded the song while staying at his recording studio for the past 3 months, in compliance with lockdown regulations.
Flowers For Dystopia is a mover and shaker, rife with rattling percussion, sharp handclaps, a deep bass line groove, little swirls of guitar, and bright tambourine jingle.
Les Techno sing-talks passionately over the instrumentation, exclaiming, “Don’t let me go… / We’ll be strong together / We will love together.” It’s a positive sentiment in an otherwise bleak time in the world, and one that we should all strive for and maintain.
