Hailing from North Dakota, singer-songwriter Mia Schuster started playing guitar at only 8 years old. Her life-long interest in music has led her to Los Angeles where she’s currently working on her debut album titled Happy (Again).
Schuster’s first single, Land, was featured in Atwood Magazine and she’s been on the performance circuit in LA, playing at various venues including the renowned The Hotel Café.
Always is Schuster’s brand new track, which just arrived at the end of last week. The song showcases Schuster’s deft balance between a catchy, upbeat modern pop style and smoother, old-school jazz inflections.
Schuster tops off the blend with her soulful songwriting and sweetly longing vocals. The lyrics of Always are inspired by Schuster meeting up again with longtime friends in her hometown.
It’s a nostalgic look back at youth and connections, and the realization that time has gone by and, well, we’re all getting older. It’s also an appreciation of the inevitable changes that are part of the experience of growing up.
Keep up with Mia Schuster
