Originating from Alabama, singer-songwriter Daniel Mann Teel mines the deep veins of soul, blues, and pop music with his output, inspired by legends including Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, as well as modern-day artists like John Legend and James Arther.
Teel just released a compelling new music video via music video production company QUAGMIRE FILMZ for his brooding track Obsessive. The song was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Sam Ashworth (H.E.R.).
In the video which was directed by Luis Tovar, Teel is seen singing and playing acoustic guitar, but the main focus is on a powerful narrative that is split between Teel acting out conflicting emotions and a young woman who is also in turmoil.
The viewer follows the woman as she sees visions of a past relationship contrasted by where she is now; in a state of distress and confusion after the break-up. Seeking clarity, she writes in her diary, coming to terms with her memories and herself.
