Nashville-based music producer Super Duper reaches back into the past to create Montage, an ecstatically jammin’ sample-crammed track that mixes old-school hip-hop with modern electronic music.
Glitchy and fast-phasing electronics and samples are contrasted with mellow, but pushing beats and brief bits of symphonic sounds, making for a radiant and kaleidoscopic sonic collage.
Super Duper reveals that the track is, “…a feel-good song I made while experimenting with sampling. I definitely don’t incorporate a lot of samples in my production, but The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim are both big influences for me, so I guess I’ve always had that sound inside me.”
Hyped by the likes of Your EDM, this imaginative producer is at ease blending music genres – and the results have paid off with millions of streams, support on Spotify playlists, and #1 rankings at HypeM.
