Electronic/synth-pop duo Oliver has made a name for itself by producing a string of stirring hit singles, including Electrify feat. Scott Mellis and most recently, Heart Attack feat. De La Soul. Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein and Vaughn “U-Tern” Oliver had spent years writing, producing, and DJing before they decided to join forces as the aptly named Oliver.
Deep into dance music of all styles, Oligee and U-Tern turn up the volume and beats on their hip-hop and electro-pop-influenced tunes. They’ve also remixed huge artists like Chromeo and Foster The People and played some of the hottest electronic fests (as well as Coachella and the like).
Their diverse electronic dance music style is once again on display with latest single, Chemicals featuring MNDR. A flashback to the bright pop of the ‘80s and well as a glimpse into the future of hybrid electro/synth-pop, Chemicals rides high on MNDR’s sharp to wistful vocal tone, Motorik undertow, crisp finger-snapping percussion, reverberating and twisting retro-synths, and brisk beats.
Oliver’s debut album, Full Circle, released on August 25th via Interscope.
