The Record StacheChicago-located hip-hop and funk wiz JAMS The Flava Child brings it on his latest full-of-flava single All I Know. The artist blends pushy hip-hop beats, sharp percussion, swingin’ rap delivery, and a floating synths backdrop on All I Know, while he mellowly flows over the lines, “This is all I know / so I’m ready to risk it all.”
JAMS will deliver his full-length record, The Flava Child Experience, on May 12th. It’s a musical look back at his past life experiences that includes challenging times like when he worked 3 jobs simultaneously, fell in and out of love, and lost his best friend to a drug overdose. JAMS reveals, “The album is the my reflection on the sacrifices things in life, spending time alone and never giving up, even though everyone around you thinks you’re crazy.”
The Flava Child Experience was produced by Bosnian Nedo Melkic and the two worked together for several months crafting vivid tunes that merge old-school funk jams with modern Chicago hip-hop.
JAMS has performed with artists like Big Sean, Rich the Kid, and Machine Gun Kelly. On March 5th he’ll be supporting Murs at Sub T in Chicago.
