LA-based DJ and music producer Kap Slap is blowing up big with his energetic electronic originals, mash-ups, and remixes that bring revelers out in droves onto the dancefloor. Jared Lucas, the artist behind the name, was raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, but migrated to the music center of LA to showcase his talents.
Kap Slap’s 2016 hit Felt So Good was one of the top played tracks on dance radio and was streamed over 2.8 million times on Spotify. He’s supported diverse artists, from Ellie Goulding to the red-hot The Chainsmokers, and sold out headlining shows at venues like Irving Plaza and El Rey.
Kap Slap is currently on his No Resolutions tour and his latest single, Gone, materialized on March 10th via 3Lau’s record label, BLUME. Gone, which features Ezi, is a bouncing and bright, staccato-paced electronic number that rife with emphatic beats, crisp finger snaps, clacking and shimmer electronics, and Ezi’s sweetly sharp vocals.
Profits from the purchase of Gone will go towards BLUME’s goal of raising $30K for the ACLU.
