Singer-songwriter Lorine Chia just released her debut album, Sweet Noise, filled with reflective alternative R&B numbers touched by her unvarnished vocals, laid-back instrumentation, and pointed lyrics.
Originally from Cameroon, Chia immigrated to the U.S. and has encapsulated her experiences on her new LP. She deals with all the ups and downs that such a tumultuous event incurs – even though it has been her dream to come to the U.S. since childhood.
Now based out of LA, the rapper and producer is making a name for herself with her modern urban pop that bristles with lyrics about self-empowerment and freedom. Chia has been part of the SoundCloud First campaign and her music has been praised by renowned media outlets like Rolling Stone and Billboard.
Chia has also dropped a video for the chill track $ & Peace, and it focuses on her counting the Benjamins and enjoying her own company in various locations, sharply sing-talking directly to the camera that all she wants is money and peace, and for peeps to stay out of her personal space (Sounds like a good plan, although where’s the love? That happens later…).
Keep up with Lorine Chia HERE
