SONG/VIDEO REVIEW: JOSEPH OF MERCURY DESCENDS FROM THE HEAVENS WITH SWOONWORTHY SINGLE ANGEL AND VIDEO

Pop singer-songwriter Joseph of Mercury hits another high note with the delectable ‘50s crooner-style confection Angel and its heavenly accompanying video.

Joseph of Mercury just delivered his alluring debut EP titled Find You Inside which is jam-packed with timeless, poptastic songs of all types, from synth-pop noir to electro-pop and dance pop.  Previous single Find You Inside is a seductive stunner, both in audio and video form.

On the blissful, yet emotive ballad Angel, Joseph of Mercury’s vocals float down from the clouds, drifting by in the shape of airy, crestfallen sighs and rich, aching longing as he reflects upon the subject of his affection.  He’s buoyed by a backing female choir, piano notes, and organ press while he confesses his ardor for his true love.

In the video for Angel, Joseph of Mercury exudes a retro-cool vibe (and attire!), descending down some steps and surrounded by a trio of female dancers.  Every time the camera cuts away from him (which is way too often!), viewers’ hearts drop in dismay (despite the best efforts of the dancers).  Hopes rise once the artist is back in frame and the center of attention.  Swoonworthy, to say the least!
