Staten Island, NY-based electronic music artist ZAXX started out in the music field in his early teens and hasn’t looked back. He’s inspired by dance music greats like Tiësto, Porter Robinson, and Skrillex, and alternative bands like LCD Soundsystem and Arcade Fire.
ZAXX crafts anthemic bangers for the dancefloor, but on his latest single, a cover of 1975’s Me, he takes a different tack, producing a nocturnally reflective ambient and electro-’80s influenced atmosphere. This change of pace showcases the diversity of Zaxx and that he’s not stuck in one electronic style.
ZAXX’s remix of The Chainsmokers’ Roses lit up the Top 50 iTunes Dance chart and racked up several millions of streams. On top of his acclaimed remixes, he has collaborated with artists like KSHMR and released solo material on Tiësto’s imprint, Musical Freedom. ZAXX has toured throughout North America, including esteemed venues like New York’s Webster Hall and Electric Zoo.
This is the year of ZAXX’s musical evolution. He’s been hard at work in the studio, exploring a diverse array of genres and focusing on quality production. His cover of 1975’s Me signifies the range of his exciting experimentation.
