NEWS: AMERICANA/ROOTS MUSIC BAND THE SOUND OF GHOSTS DRIVES THROUGH WITH AN UPBEAT ALT-FOLK STORYTELLER

Los Angeles-based Americana/roots music collective The Sound of Ghosts recently arrived with its new tune Train To Nowhere ahead of the release of the band’s album Delivery and Departure.

The five-piece of James Orbison (vocals, bass), Anna Orbison (vocals, ukulele), Ernesto Rivas (lead guitar), Phoebe Silva (fiddle), and Jon Sarna (drums) merges vintage Americana and folk with a more modern rock ‘n’ roll edge.  The band members meet at the musical crossroads, with each of them bringing a different background to their overall sound.

This diversity of influences and experiences translates into an absorbing set of tunes that are touched by classic rock, musical theater, country, and other genres.  The upbeat alt-folk lead single Train To Nowhere spotlights the act’s use of fiddle, engaging harmonies, and storytelling power.  “This song is a perfect mix of what we do best”, reveals Orbison.
