Justifiably hyped rising alternative pop star Billie Eilish gets moodily reflective on her latest single idontwannabeyouanymore. It follows hot on the heels of previous track Copycat and smash Bellyache.
The singer-songwriter is still in her teens, but she displays an assured maturity on the ballad idontwannabeyouanymore. The lyrics may be sharp at times, but she drapes them in catchy, contemplative piano pop and her sweetly airy and wistful vocal tone. Eilish explains, “This song is from the perspective of me towards me.”
Eilish is set to release her debut EP, Don’t Smile At Me, on August 11th via Darkroom Records / Interscope. She will also go on a North American tour in October with the Los Angeles date already sold out.
Idontwannabeyouanymore is available on all digital platforms and as part of the EP pre-order.
