Electronic music artist Lophiile has made a name for himself as a producer and remixer, but he’s now stepping into the spotlight with his debut single, the hard urban rap Newno featuring vocalist Moss Kena and South Carolina rapper Nick Grant.
Lophiile has remixed big electronic outfits like Zedd, Troye Sivan, Snakehips, and Grey, and he’s also snagged production credits on songs from R&B and rap acts including Goldlink, Gallant, and Ray Blk. He’s attached to New York-based creative agency Madbury Club (Nike, Sprint, Native Shoes) and will be performing at various music festivals across the US this summer.
On the dramatic Newno, Lophiile mixes old school hip-hop vibes, a pushy topline, and the tight vocal exchange between Kena’s rich vocals and an intensely rapping Grant who rattles off the explicit lyrics with a determined urgency.
