Vancouver, Canada electronic artist and DJ Whipped Cream is fast becoming known as a forward-thinking creative who crafts bass-heavy compositions and radiates an ear-catching vibe. She’s teamed up with her close friend and fellow electronic artist Hekler who specializes in trap music.
The Mirrors EP is the result of this musical union, a 5-track spectacular that features club-friendly tunes to more experimental explorations. Dancefloor banger Won’t leans towards the latter and is filled with melodic ladders that shatter from heavy bass drops. The juxtaposition of deep, smoky, slo-mo vocals, staccato pounding beats, and the on-fast-forward pace create a wild electronic ride.
Whipped Cream, otherwise known as Caroline Cecil, has been immersed in music from a young age and has found her calling producing and playing hip-hop-inflected, bass-driven electronic music. Her style is not limited to one genre though and she’s not afraid to branch out and try different sounds. She’s been supported by Skrillex’s blog, Nest HQ, and has performed at music festivals throughout North America. Mirrors EP follows a long line of singles and remixes from the soncially tasty Whipped Cream.
