NEWS: COSMOS & CREATURE’S BRANDYN BURNETTE GOES SOLO, DROPPING THE SOULFUL AND EMOTIONAL SINGLE ESCAPE

Midwest-raised, but LA-residing Brandyn Burnette may be best known as one-half of the electronic pop duo Cosmos & Creature which has made its mark on Spotify  (over 10 million streams and a recent single that debuted at #3 on its Global Charts), but Burnette is also a progressive soul/indie pop artist who just dropped his latest single, Escape

Escape is a subdued, smooth, yet still emotional ride that features Burnette’s soulful vocals, shining psych rock guitar, and deep beats.  It’s a cut off his upcoming EP titled Feature Films.

Burnette has many musical credits to his name, including writing hit tracks for MKTO and Jake Miller and opening for artists such as John Mayer and James Bay.  As part of Cosmos & Creature with Molly Moore, his compositions have quickly gained notice in the crowded electronic/pop field.  The duo caught the attention of Iggy Azalea after covering her song Team, and also placed on Lost King’s Marathon and Vicetone’s Bright Side singles.  Cosmos & Creature is currently working on its debut EP.

One would think Burnette has his hands full with Cosmos & Creature, but the singer-songwriter continues to spin fresh tunes as a solo artist.  He unveiled his second EP, State I’m In, last July, which took off with 2.8 million streams on Spotify.  He has also collaborated with indie EDM artist Elephante on the track Plans.

Burnette, who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, comes from a family lineage of musicians.  He reveals that, My music is about healing… That’s what it is for me and that’s what I think it is for other people. I want my fans to feel like they are entering another world when they listen to my music.”
