Oklahoma-raised, now LA-based singer-songwriters and musicians Maggie McClure and Shane Henry have built up a solid musical partnership that often has them writing, recording, and touring together. Their latest collaboration is the sweet holiday-themed single Christmastime Again.
Christmastime Again is a mellow, but cheery, retro-vibed number with Henry taking on lead vocal duties and McClure backing him with gentle vocals. Glistening strokes of acoustic guitar, the light jingle of bells, wafting waves of organ, and a kicky drum beat fill the song with jubilance. Henry reels off some favorite, traditional Christmas song titles with ease on the swaying chorus, bringing a feeling of nostalgia and joy.
Each artist is talented in his/her own right with McClure an accomplished pianist and Henry a skilled guitarist. McClure has had numerous tunes of hers placed in TV shows and feature films. She has performed over one thousand shows and visited more than 40 states delivering her smooth, confessional, and uplifting compositions to engaged audiences. McClure’s third and latest album, Time Moves On, takes the listener on her journey from a small Oklahoma town to the big city of Los Angeles.
Henry is highly regarded as a blues guitarist who first came on the scene by playing 30 national dates opening for the legendary B.B. King on his Festival Tour. Henry ended up signing with respected Shanachie Records (home of Stevie Ray Vaughn’s band Double Trouble), but his blues style has evolved over time to include the rock, pop, and soul genres. Henry recently released his latest album titled Light in the Dark.
