This is the first mix curated exclusively for The Record Stache. I’m so excited to finally share this with everyone. I’ve posted some features on Kensaye’s mixes here in the past, and each time I’ve been extremely impressed in his eclectic taste in music. So back in November, I asked if he’d be interested in putting together a mixtape for me. Thankfully he agreed.
Kensaye’s Free Fall can best be described as a international tour of world music. Don’t worry. This isn’t the typical world music that you’re used to hearing. No, there aren’t any of the stereotypical and traditional cultural songs that you’d probably hear while walking around the World Showcase at Disney’s Epcot. This mix is highly contemporary. It’s uniquely made up of experimental beats, hectic instrumentations, House grooves, Bossa rhythms, and some laid-back vibes scattered throughout.
Free Fall is essentially the spirit of The Record Stache. We do our best to showcase all types of music from around the globe, and we’re so appreciative that Kensaye recognized that and tailored this mixtape to our style. Enjoy Free Fall below. And welcome to the brand new design. Have a look around.
