After Hours – Fast Life (feat Nina Lorraine)
Ever wondered what MGMT might sound like if you stripped away the LSD and threw them into the world of chillwave? Sure you have. Well look no further than the Atlanta based producer, Bill Jabr. Under the moniker After Hours, Bill is starting to release some pretty eccentric chillwave… if that makes any sense. Pulling in some nostalgic sounds of ’80s synth pop and the sexiness of R&B, the first After Hours single, “Fast Life”, is one eclectic song. Toro y Moi’s Anything in Return proved that chillwave is evolving into new, and old, territories. After Hours continues to explore where the genre can go, and I like where Bill Jabr is taking it. Look out for “Fast Life” and the B-side “Voyager” to officially release on April 30th.
