Video: Joywave at The Planetarium
Joywave had a huge 2012, which I've tried to support as much as possible. They released their debut EP/Not an EP, Koda Vista, which was, without a doubt, my favorite release of the year. Seriously, listen to it with a decent pair of headphones. The layers will blow your mind. The band also helped out a bit with the release of KOPPS' excellent Fuck Jams EP. Joywave has also announced the upcoming release of Koda Vista on vinyl, which can be preordered here, as well as hinted at the possibility of a follow up to their 77777 Mixtape.
Last April, Joywave performed at the Strasenburgh Planetarium. Since the show, they've teased us with a couple of releases of the concert footage, but today the complete performance has been made available on YouTube. The video is of fantastic quality, and packs in a vibrant, clear sound, as well. Proving that Joywave is just as good live as they are in the studio. So free up 35 minutes of your day to sit back and enjoy this phenomenal concert. Now, I'll just have to patiently wait for news on Joywave's next project titled, Big Lonely, according to the Credits page of Koda Vista's art booklet.
